LEGO Star Wars fans of a certain vintage may remember a set named 7754 Home One Mon Calamari Star Cruiser. I certainly do – to this day it’s one of my favourite sets. But that remains the only rendition in the brick of Home One, the Rebel Alliance’s de-facto headquarters in the Return of the Jedi era. Even then, it was only the inside! In 2025, we get to see the MC80 depicted in all its bulbous glory thanks to 75405 Home One Starcruiser and its 559 pieces. Part of LEGO’s fledgling Starship Collection, it is available for pre-order now for US $69.99 | CAN $89.99 | UK £59.99, and will ship out from January 1, 2025. After that date you might also be able to find it on sites like eBay or Amazon. Will this be another entry into this writer’s pantheon of favourite sets? Read on to find out!...
It’s December 16th already? Just one more shopping week till Christmas. Not that I need to worry about that – I have dozens of LEGO builds from the advent calendars to regift! It’s a solid plan, right? I can figure out who gets what later. First, we have six LEGO advent calendars to open: Friends, Disney, City, Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Spider-Man! As ever, our intrepid TBB team is on hand with witty comments, insightful observations, and bad jokes for each day’s builds. And of course, you can add your own thoughts in the comments section each day! So without further ado, let’s crack open the build for day 16… Today’s Friends build is a toy train on roller skate wheels. From Disney, a fitting perch for yesterday’s Frog Princess, Tiana. Harry Potter scares up a singing ghost! I don’t know that she has a name but her unique print...
All year-round, we here at The Brothers Brick spend our time featuring amazing builds made by the LEGO fan community. But we figured, for the holiday season, it would be great to build something together. For each day from December 1st through the 24th, we’ll be posting instructions to a custom TBB advent calendar build, one part each day. Want to participate? You can find all the parts you’ll need for the TBB Advent Event from our announcement in November. Read on to see what we’re building today! It’s Christmas, so of course we need a tree. This is probably the most difficult step in the whole build. Don’t grab the model by the leaves if you can help it. Here’s what it looks like in the real world: The post 2024 TBB custom LEGO advent calendar – Day 15 [Feature] appeared first on The Brothers Brick. Original linkOriginal author: Kyle...
You know Star Wars and Harry Potter and City and Friends . . . but do you recall the most festive advent calendar of them all? Deborah Higdon‘s LEGO hearts calendar, a response to LEGO’s #BuildToGive campaign, yielded this adorable little wooden reindeer on day 7. The sweet little guy (or gal) looks ready to guide Santa’s sleigh tonight—or just hang on your tree. Take a look at the builder’s Flickr page to follow along as the merry advent calendar continues till Christmas. After a phenomenal Dungeons and Dragons Collectible Minifigure Series, it’s hard to imagine another CMF series following it with as much grandeur. However, we’re on to next either way! LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71048 Series 27 may not be a licensed series, but the folks at LEGO are still swinging for the fences. Join us as we give each one a close inspection! Series 27 consists of 12 characters and will be available beginning January 1st. Individually, they’ll retail for US $4.99 | CAN $5.99 | UK £3.49. The LEGO Group sent The Brothers Brick an early copy of this set for review. Providing TBB with products for review guarantees neither coverage nor positive reviews. Unboxing the case and packaging Like the D&D minifigure series, we received this collection in 2 tall cases, each with 12 individual cartons stacked inside. Also like the last series, each case has a complete set of 12...
