- Project Description:
FIRST LEGO League is a global program that introduces children and young people, ages 4 to 16 (age varies by country), to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through hands-on learning with LEGO® products.
Key Components of FIRST LEGO League:
- FIRST LEGO League Discover (ages 4-6) – Children are introduced to the basics of STEM by working together to solve fun challenges and build models using LEGO® DUPLO® bricks.
- FIRST LEGO League Explore (ages 6-10) – Teams explore a real-world scientific theme, develop a research project, and build and program a LEGO Education SPIKE™ Prime robot to perform specific missions.
- FIRST LEGO League Challenge (ages 9-16) – Teams design, build, and program an autonomous robot with LEGO Education EV3 or SPIKE Prime robot systems to perform missions on a field. They also develop an innovative research project that aligns with the annual theme.
